Makassar Islamic University (UIM), Indonesia and Asia University, Taiwan agreed to build cooperation by signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in promoting sustainable scholarly interaction, cultural interchange and other forms of academic collaboration. This MoU signing took place at Taichung Taiwan On Monday (April 15th).
This MoU was signed by Dr. H. Muammar Bakry, Lc., MA as the Vice Rector of Cooperation and Development in UIM and Rector of Asia University. The MoU is a mutual commitment in rising Educational Quality, Human Resources, intellectual life and cultural development for both parties.
UIM and Asia University are institutions which award academic degrees in various academic disciplines. Both universities provide undergraduate education and postgraduate education.
The MoU coverage is focused on the fields of students and academic staff members exchange and training; joint degree program; mutual assistance in seminar, conferences, and workshop; the delivery of award and non-award courses; scholarship of master and doctoral programs; and other fields.
“Hopefully, by this cooperation, both institutions can improve the education, research, and community services quality in various fields. In line with that, human resources also can be improved. Furthermore, this cooperation is not just under this MoU signing ceremony but also the implementation, so both parties will grasp benefits.
